Ogura has been producing superchargers for the automotive market since the 1970s. The Ogura blower is extremely compact and efficient and can deliver high volumes of clean air. As more industries become more cost sensitive, overall efficiency becomes more important. In the past, large farms grew all of our food, but in recent years the agricultural market has been changing and these large farms have become much smaller and more efficient and even in some cases having the crops growing inside in warehouses. For these unique growing environments, a smaller more efficient agricultural sprayers are required. Because of the unique lobe and housing design, Ogura blowers are very efficient and because they were designed for the wide temperature and contamination environments of automotive applications, they can easily withstand the new warehouse agricultural environment.

Ogura blowers can be mounted directly to an electric motor or can connected via a belt from a gas or diesel engine by using an electromagnetic clutch which can engage or disengage the pump only when needed.
