Need a PTO clutch brake for a 27-40HP engine?
GT5 is the largest of Ogura’s GT series of PTO clutch brakes and is often used on engine sizes up to about 40HP. These one-piece durable electromagnetic clutches are used in a wide range of outdoor power and off highway applications, from stump grinders and augers to portable sawmills and hybrid equipment.
They have been proven on both gas and diesel engine applications for many years. They serve many possible functions. They are used in cold weather to keep the engine unloaded during cold starts. They offer operator convenience with engagement upon the push of a button. They are used to reduce fuel consumption and reduce HP load when the device is not needed. Lastly, a built-in brake engages when power is removed and it is often a critical safety device when used with cutting blades or other dangerous implements.
GT5 clutch brakes are rated for 350 to 400 lb-ft static torque. Most bore sizes are between 1.1/8" and 1.7/16" to match popular engine shaft sizes. They come with an e-coat protection for outdoor environments. They include high temperature coil epoxy and high temperature bearing grease. They have a solid forged rotor with robust design. They are available with various pulley configurations or even a hub output to mount your own pulley, sprocket, or coupling. A GT5C general purpose clutch of similar construction is available without a brake if needed.
